My Angels

I have had a few "angels" that have looked over me, helped me and were my best friends during some very difficult times in my life. Some of them I know, some of them have remained annonymous. I have decided to dedicate a page to these people as a way of telling them thank you for all they have done for me.

I have learned a lot from the struggles in my past. One, that a relationship with God is most important. I spent many a nights in prayer that God would get me through all those tough times. I know that God does not give what one can not endure and I have joked that he must think I am stronger then I am. I have made it, but not with out the help of God and my family and friends as well.
Another thing I learned is the value of a friendship.
I tended to take for granted good friendships,
I could not have gotten through those hard times without you!
I will never be able to thank any of my friends enough
for everything.

To my annoymous "guardian angels"...
I will never be able to thank you personally
or face to face, and I will probably never know who you are,
but you have no idea how much I appreciate what you have done. I will be forever grateful. Not a day goes by where I don't thank God for blessing me! I have learned that there are wonderful, good people out there.. so generous and so kind. I just hope that one day very soon I can do the same thing for someone else! So many thanks go out to you!

Here are the words to a song that is really special to me. Also, below is the words to "chain of Love" by Clay Walker.
I think this song is very neat too and appropriate for this page :)

Angels Amoung Us
By: Alabama

I was walking home from school on a cold winter day.
Took a shortcut through the woods, and I lost my way.
It was getting late, and I was scared and alone.
But then a kind old man took my hand and led me home.
Mama couldn't see him, but he was standing there.
And I knew in my heart, he was the answer to my prayers.

Oh I believe there are angels among us.
Sent down to us from somewhere up above.
They come to you and me in our darkest hours.
To show us how to live, to teach us how to give.
To guide us with a light of love.

When life held troubled times, and had me down on my knees.
There's always been someone there to come and comfort me.
A kind word from a stranger, to lend a helping hand.
A phone call from a friend, just to say I understand.
And ain't it kind of funny that at the dark end of the road.
Someone lights the way with just a single ray of hope.

Oh I believe there are angles among us.
Sent down to us from somewhere up above.
They come to you and me in our darkest hours.
To show us how to live, to teach us how to give.
To guide us with a light of love.

They wear so many faces, show up in the strangest places.
To guide us with their mercy, in our time of need.
Oh I believe there are angels among us.
Sent down to us from somewhere up above.
They come to you and me in our darkest hours.
To show us how to live, to teach us how to give.

To guide us with a light of love.

To guide us with a light of love.

Chain of Love
By: Clay Walker

He was driving home one evening
in his beat up pontiac
When an old lady flagged him down
Her old mercedes had a flat
He could see that she was frightened
Standing out there in the snow
'Til he said I'm here to help you Ma'am
By the way my name's Joe

She said I'm from St. Louis
And I'm only passin' through
I must've seen a hundred cars go by
This is aweful nice of you
When he'd changed the tire
And closed her trunk
And was about to drive away
She said how much do I owe you
Here's what he had to say

You don't owe me a thing
I've been there too
Someone once helped me out
Just the way I'm helping you
If you really want to pay me back
Here's what you do
Don't let the chain of love end with you

Well a few miles down the road
The lady saw a small cafe'
She went in to grab a bite to eat
And then be on her way
But she couldn't help but notice
How the waitress smiled so sweet
And how she must've been eight months along
and dead on her feet

And though she didn't know her story
And she probably never will
When the waitress went to get her change
From a hundred dollar bill
The lady slipped right out the door
And on a napkin left a note
There were tears in the waitress's eyes
When she read what she wrote

You don't owe me a thing
I've been there too
Someone once helped me out
Just the way I'm helping you
If you really want to pay me back
Here's what you do
Don't let the chain of love end with you

That night when she got home from work
The waitress climbed into bed
She was thinkin' about the money
And what the lady's note had said
As her husband lay there sleeping
She whispered soft and low
Everything's gonna be alright
I love you, Joe
